Death Biting a Snake Perfume Oil

That powdery rice note keeps everything soft and ghostly, while the orris root gives it this cool, almost ethereal bite that lasts for hours on my skin. It’s the kind of scent that feels like a secret, and I keep catching whiffs of it and smiling.
The orris root and rice powder give this a soft, almost ghostly dryness that balances the frankincense beautifully—it smells ancient but somehow clean. I dabbed a drop on my wrist this morning and the sillage is subtle yet lingers for hours. This is my new go-to for cold weather.
I was a little nervous about the orris root being too powdery, but it blends so smoothly with the frankincense that it feels cool and almost eerie on the skin. The white sandalwood keeps it from turning sweet, and the oil itself lasts a solid six hours before I need to reapply.
